Masters Traditional Games Environmental Policy
Masters Traditional Games recognises the importance of responsibly managing the environmental impact of our business. Since the beginning of 2019, we have made wholesale changes to our warehouse operations and office to fight climate change and eradicate unnecessary plastic waste. Below are details of changes and commitments we have made to help reduce our environmental impact.
Plastic Packaging & Recycling
We are committed to eradicating the purchase of plastic packaging materials in our warehouse and have recently transitioned to paper packaging tape (thanks to a customer suggestion), recycled cardboard bubble-wrap and paperless trade wherever possible. In the summer of 2019, we purchased a second-hand cardboard shredding machine so that we can now transform our excess cardboard into valuable packing materials.
As well as this we have multiple paper and plastic recycling points in our kitchen, warehouse and office space.
We have installed energy efficient LED lighting throughout our warehouse and office and installed insulating PVC strip curtains at our warehouse entrance to limit heat loss and consequently reduce our energy consumption. We also strive to ensure all our electronic equipment is energy efficient and we switch off computer monitors and non-essential electronics and lighting overnight.
Whilst we have encouraged many of our suppliers to rethink their environmental impact, plastic packaging is often unavoidable. To limit waste, we are committed to re-using any plastic packaging that we receive with incoming stock orders. In essence, all the packaging materials we receive at our warehouse and office will either be re-used or recycled.
Any suggestions, comments or concerns you may have regarding ours or our suppliers environmental operations are welcomed and encouraged.
