A nice, aesthetically pleasing Go set incorporated into a walnut stained wooden case that opens up to reveal the playing surface.

The inside features a full 19 x 19 grid as well as storage compartments for the Go stones. The playing pieces are plastic with a diameter of 13mm. Please note however that the pieces are not the thickest and some may find them rather fiddly...
The wooden case is nicely constructed and pleasing to the eye. It is secured by two brass clasps.
All in all, this is a Go set for someone who is happy to trade in some practicality (as it can be a little fiddly) for more premium workmanship and finish. The compact size also makes the set a good option for travel.
